ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT CAMPAIGNS

Spot Conservation

GEOguides is committed to making our resources and connections available to help combat threats to wild and open spaces.

One way we are doing this is by implementing a public survey on every spot page to assess the environmental health of an area as it is perceived by visitors. In doing so, we hope to provide insight into areas that are under threat and in need of conservation or preservation efforts. We understand this data may only prove useful over the long term and is highly dependent on user engagement, however, our goal is to make this ongoing, ever changing information available for public use as well as interpret this data on a global scale and publish those results annually.

Sometimes it difficult to see how our overall impact is affecting us on a local level or how one person can lessen the effects of global threats. However, we can no longer trust that the wild and open places we visit will remain that way. We have a chance to make a difference, to unite our efforts and take action to protect the places we love. Join us by contributing your vote on any Spot Page.

Our first annual Spot Conservation Report will be published early 2021
